Kristie never planned on leaving Oregon, but the first months of the pandemic changed everything. Working in Critical Care during COVID-19, she witnessed firsthand the toll that reactive medicine takes, with patients arriving already depleted and fighting for recovery. That experience became a defining and life changing moment in her career. Kristie wanted to change the story from crisis care to proactive, preventative wellness. Kristie has always been focused on one goal, helping people feel stronger, healthier, and more resilient before trouble strikes, which led her to open Med Spa SLO.

With over 18 years of nursing experience, Kristie brings both clinical expertise and a deep commitment to whole-body wellness. She is a Certified Nurse Health Coach, Peptide Certified Specialist, and IV Therapy Certified Professional, blending the science of modern medicine with a holistic approach to longevity and prevention.

As a two-time international DAISY Award recipient, Kristie has been recognized for her calm leadership, compassionate care, and dedication to excellence. Today, she channels that same spirit into every patient interaction, whether guiding someone through a wellness consultation, administering IV nutrient therapy, or enhancing confidence with aesthetic treatments like gentle neurotoxin sessions and skin-brightening Hydrafacials.

She also brings her care directly to the community as a mobile IV specialist, delivering restorative drips throughout San Luis Obispo for clients who prefer wellness in the comfort of their home or office.

When she is not in the lounge, Kristie can be found enjoying San Luis Obispo's beautiful beaches, playing with her dog Leo, or hiking and boating with her family.

Dr. Chad Carman is a board-certified osteopathic physician with over 20 years of experience in emergency and obesity medicine. His background also includes wound care, hyperbaric medicine, and men’s health, covering testosterone therapy and erectile dysfunction treatment. In addition, he has completed advanced training in botulinum toxin and dermal fillers, combining his medical expertise with a passion for aesthetic wellness.

Guided by a deep commitment to family and community, Dr. Carman brings a compassionate and thoughtful approach to his role at Med Spa SLO. He provides trusted medical oversight, ensuring that every treatment meets the highest standards of safety, compliance, and care. His extensive clinical experience allows the team to deliver advanced aesthetic services with confidence and precision.

Dr. Carman also ensures that Med Spa SLO operates safely and successfully within California state regulations. His collaborative approach and deep understanding of physiology help bridge the gap between medical science and beauty, empowering clients to look and feel their best.

Marijke began her career as a licensed Esthetician 17 years ago, driven by a lifelong passion for skin, beauty and healthy living. Over the years, she has gained in-depth experience across the esthetic industry, working with world-renowned brands and acquiring expert knowledge in premium skincare and treatments, including being ZO Skin certified as well as HydraFacial trained and certified.

With 20 years of customer service, management and event coordination experience, Natalie has a passion for helping others and enjoys facilitating the success of others through clear communication and dedicated support. As a Central Coast native, she feels blessed to call this place home and savors doing outdoor activities with her family, and playing tennis in her free time. Also, having spent many years in the restaurant industry, she is a self proclaimed foodie and delights tasting her way through cities around the world. She has visited 17 different countries and counting.
